The collection unites Bosideng’s 49 years of expertise in down with Kim Jones’ design-led vision. Operating between outdoor performance and fashion, AREAL introduces a modern approach to downwear. Designed for contemporary life and defined by protection, precision, and adaptability across environments.

ABOUT KIM JONES
Kim Jones is one of the defining designers of his generation, operating at the intersection of luxury, culture, and art.
His career includes Artistic Director roles at Dior Men’s, Louis Vuitton Men’s, Fendi and Alfred Dunhill, shaping a design language grounded in heritage, utility, and cultural reference.
AREAL marks the beginning of his collaboration with Bosideng.

Silhouettes — Fashion Aesthetics × Comfort-Driven Tailoring
Silhouettes are designed to balance form and movement. High stand-collar constructions frame the body with clarity while maintaining comfort. Innovative sleeve designs integrate ease and functionality, adapting naturally across different settings. Structural raglan sleeves streamline volume and reduce bulk, using architectural tailoring to enhance mobility and proportion.
Craftsmanship — Precision Within × Refinement Without
Construction is approached with the same restraint as design. A 3D vertical tubular down-locking technique ensures even insulation and prevents down migration. Laser-cut buttonholes, precise to 3mm, reflect the collection’s attention to detail. Lightweight bonding and stitch-free construction create a clean finish and pressure-free comfort, reinforcing AREAL’s commitment to precision, durability, and refinement.

Engineered compartments lock down fill in place, ensuring even insulation with zero migration — warmth that stays exactly where it’s needed.
Every buttonhole is laser-cut to a tolerance of 3mm — a level of precision that defines the collection’s commitment to detail.
Advanced water-repellent treatments — from high-density microfibre finish to bio-based C0 jacquard weaving — deliver effective rain protection with minimal environmental impact. Breathable, lightweight, and built for the British climate.
A hi-tech bonding process fuses a windproof membrane to the inner layer — eliminating visible stitching for a clean exterior finish while delivering windproof, waterproof and breathable performance.
Crafted from the finest natural materials — silk-blend for a soft-focus lustre, pure wool for structured warmth, and wool-cashmere for weightless softness. Each fabric is selected to let the material speak for itself.
