Bosideng is dedicated to pioneering ESG (environmental, social, and governance) practices in fashion. We are committed to using finite resources responsibly and driving sustainable fashion through innovative materials and technology.

Guided by Global Goals

Our strategy aligns with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For 2023/24, we’ve introduced the "1+3+X" framework, which includes 1 vision, 3 goals, and multiple initiatives focused on being positive for products, nature, and people.

Net-Zero and Green Energy Targets

We aim for net-zero emissions by 2038, using 100% green electricity and 80% low-carbon fabrics, with a 30% product recycling rate goal.

Progress in all categories

In 2023/24, all down apparel met RDS standards, 75% had OEKO-TEX® certification, and 58% achieved bluesign® certification.

Responsible Down Standard: All our down is 100% Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certified, ensuring humane treatment of ducks and geese through rigorous third-party audits.

Top Textile Standards: Over half of our products meet leading standards: OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for safety from harmful substances and bluesign® for sustainable textile production.

Bosideng has received numerous awards for sustainable innovation, including the Red Dot Award and ISPO Award, recognizing our eco-friendly designs.

ESG Ratings and Reports

We hold an A rating from MSCI ESG Ratings and improved to a B rating with the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). We were also featured in the Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition) by S&P Global.

Standards and Collaboration

We’ve contributed to drafting 23 international, 13 national, and 5 industry standards, reflecting our commitment to setting high sustainability benchmarks.

Afforestation project, Alxa, Inner Mongolia, China:

Bosideng’s afforestation project, lasting five years, includes planting 10,000 seedlings in 1,000-mu of carbon neutral forest to help Alxa halt desertification, conserve water and soil, and restore the ecosystem.

Beach cleaning campaign, Shimei Bay, Hainan, China:

Bosideng has supported various environmental initiatives including a beach cleaning campaign on the island of Hainan, together with outdoor activity experts and a marine environmental group. The goal is to reduce marine pollution, conserve biodiversity and safeguard the shoreline.

Bosideng’s flagship store on Nanjing Road, central Shanghai, is operated through a smart store service system that minimises energy consumption.

The group’s solar power station at its logistic compound generates more than 900 MWh (nearly 1 billion watts). Bosideng has completed verification for scope 1, scope 2 and scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions and obtained the ISO 14064-1:2018 certification.
